Spell Checker

This is just for my personal use, when I reformat my computer! Or when I reformat it.

How to enable Firefox’ built in spell checker!

  1. In the URL bar, type about:config and hit return
  2. Now filter for the configuration, by typing layout.spell
  3. Double-click layout.spellcheck.Default and change the value from 1 to 2
  4. That’s it! Like most Firefox tips, this works across all platforms, so don’t forget to enable it elsewhere.

    I tried using this on the updated FireFox 3 and it doesn’t seem to be working all to well, for some reason I don’t get the same output of the red line under words which are misspelled. :(
