6 month review of WiredTree.com June 19, 2008
Posted by Jonathan in : Internet, My Sites, Other, Webmaster , add a commentI have been with WiredTree.com for around six months and I praise the very floor they walk on, they have been very consistent in the time they have set to respond to tickets, it seems their time limit is 15 minutes however I’ve always noticed them reply in just 5 - 10 minutes. - Which is astounding for such provider to offer such unique service, from which I have not seen elsewhere with all the moving of providers I have been doing; they are by far the best service I have ever been with! The six months I have been with them, there was no downtime which I could evidently see in front of myself, unless the actual server was having problems; all you’d have to do is contact them they would fix it. What makes me personally feel comfortable with WiredTree is that they give pro-active support which is awesome as it takes that feeling of your website going down out the window and if there is ever a time which it does go down, in a few minutes it will be up or an explanation given seeing as they literally reply to you in minutes.
Now I currently only have 1 VPS with them and I’m ordering a hybrid server - now I would usually only pick companies which offer dedicated servers as I’m not to keen in sharing a server with others (With other services running on it) though with the service they have provided me, there is no room for complaint; they provide a competent service which they don’t fuss around with. e.g. they do their job with pure professionalism and there is also a personal touch as if you were there only customer as they are just literally replying to you at such a fast rate; it’s as if they should have an instant messenger support available (I wish)! Well, just think of this scenario:
Say if you were having a really bad day and your VPS/Server was just constantly going wrong due to yourself making changes to the core of the files in your OS system - they would literally be the ‘knights in shining armour coming to pick you up and fix you’ or in this term they would fix or enhance upon the changes you made!
They are what we call a ‘Quality provider’! Some may think they are expensive however I believe ‘you get what you pay for’ and they aren’t that expensive, to be honest, they are actually quite cheap if you start comparing them against other providers who offer the same kind of service. e.g. a competing service. Literally if you want a backbone behind you, which what I mean is something you can fall back on if you can’t fix something; then go with WiredTree as they have provided me sufficient backbone in order to provide a running service which I did have and still am running with clients who I now host for free, since Vlexo went totally free as of early this month, though in heart we have always been a free provider! Since my last host who I was co-owner of went bust to the actual owner not being able to afford payments after 1 year of being up and was still on a reseller account with this flimsy (In my opinion) reseller host; I wanted to make a difference with Vlexo and I made sure I was able to afford running it. - With WT it has made this possible as a lot of costs have been cut with providers charging over the moon with a less impressive service in my opinion from my personal experience.
Now I tried to go even cheaper with my free users (Which was wrong; not morally however) as WT provided a much better service for a much better price; considering what I was getting and the level of service which was/is being provided. I’m thankful that such service is around as I bet I’ll be using their service for the next 5 years if not more if ‘they’ or ‘I’ are still around!
Just to make this clear, we have had some recent network downtime (Or our free users have) as they are still with the ‘old’ budget provider I was with, however we are moving fast away from this provider and migrating to WiredTree.com! Nevertheless we still use and have services with WiredTree!
Thanks for reading my review of WT, they trully deserve it!

What people do for money! May 11, 2008
Posted by Jonathan in : AdNetwork, Other, Search Engines, Uncategorized , 2 commentsSo I was looking around on digitalpoint and I came across this thread in the ‘freebies’ section and I looked at the thread title and it said: “Earn $.05 thru paypal”, I was like thinking to myself, this can’t be right, he must be meaning $5, however knowing it was digitalpoint, I knew almost after reviewing the thread that he was giving away $0.05 USD away. I haven’t actually replied to that thread, but I really thought it was funny… (I have a odd sense of humour)
Here’s the link:
http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=831649
I find it hilarious that the thread is so popular, I’m even thinking of creating my own $.05 thread to get people posting on my forum or blog… but damn $.05! That is seriously killing me! Here is the screenshot of the original post:
This has taught me a lesson, anyone will do anything for money, even if it is that low.
- So I’m going to make my own post on there. ![]()
London elections 2008 May 3, 2008

So I’ve been keeping quite a close eye on the London elections and it seems Boris Johnson from the Conservative party won and thus the ending of Ken Livingstone’s (Labour party) 8 year of running London and speaking for it has ended.
Votes Statistics
Conservatives:- 1,168,738 for first and second inclination votes. (Boris Johnson)
Labour:- 1,028,966 (Ken Livingstone)
What I saw on the BBC last night was 2 men fighting for victory, however Boris won and he didn’t say anything bad about Ken, which I thought was nice of him, since if you watch the channel ‘Parliament 24′ (I think that’s right?) you will see nothing but people slandering each other. - It’s actually quite funny, but then if you look at the bigger picture you have two people fighting like children e.g. Gordon Brown and David Cameron, they just do it in a more incentive and clever way. Though back to the elections, I’m quite happy that Ken is out, as I HOPE that Boris Johnson hasn’t won just because of the votes, I hope he has won as I dearly hope he has good leadership capabilities and I sincerely HOPE that he changes London to decrease the crime it currently has.
Boris seems like a good person, especially when viewing this video, I just watched on YouTube: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Iy88oS9iY9A
He talks about combating crime, a cleaner London and especially recycling, which I think is a major crime in itself! I hope Boris puts his words into action, because I believe London does need improvement and crime needs to be talked about in a way never before. I’ve also read up on other blogs and news sites that Johnson hopes to provide a 24hour policing service - GREAT idea, should significantly de-militarise crime.
Feeling Ill December 29, 2007

I’m feeling so ill, yesterday I just spent the whole day in my bed sleeping, it’s as if the energy was just sucked out of me. I’ve taken some pain killers, hopefully that will make me feel better *It has*, however I’ve got to stop going to sleep at like 2-4AM in the morning everyday, or I’m going to lose all my energy. I think I have to stop due to myself having diabetes, it could wear me down considerably plus I need to eat more snacks or I’ll just break down. Maybe I’m not cut out for this? But I’ll keep going, unless it gets to bad than I will talk to my doctor or just take a holiday/vacation!
Aside from my downside, I recently defragged my computer, and I must say things are much more faster than before, no more laggy issues and things are generally loading faster. - There are still some processes that need deleting, however it’s a pain when they are hiding somewhere around my computer, I also managed to delete around 6GB of data which wasn’t needed nor pertained to any value.
Edit: Recently today, I collapsed, and I went to hospital… what can I say? I guess I did overwork myself and I’m still doing it, my doctor has recommended that I stay in bed with a nice hot cup of coffee. (He didn’t mention the coffee; I did) - However I’m feeling fine now. - It’s just I’m quite shocked over this, I couldn’t imagine myself having a fall, it was simply like a blackout. Oh well. I live on. ![]()

I’ve been experimenting with photoshop, and I’ve procuded the above. I’m not happy with the ‘www.echo-unlimited.com’ part, as it looks to tacky, I think I need to tone the emboss down. Anyways, I’m not a photoshop pro, but I’ll be using this signature on forums. I wouldn’t say it’s the best in the world, but I think it looks alright, I especially like the way I done the ‘Jonathan Jones’ text! I can only hope to improve by testing photoshop out ![]()
Happy New Year 2007 January 1, 2007
Posted by Jonathan in : Internet, Me and my life, Other , 3 commentsGlad to see a beginning of a NEW YEAR!
I hope everyone has a great time! I myself, I haven’t done actually anything that is eventful, to be honest I don’t really care much for New Years; it’s just an event that is quite big. I do care some what that a new year has been sustained, but I just don’t go out crazy saying happy new year, or going to special parties. I’ve been playing BF2142 for the New Year! But I guess it’s sad to see myself like this, when my freinds are out there partying. Oh well, I hope everyone had a good Nice New Year. And hopefully 2007 will be a year of luck and fun!
I live in the United Kingdom, but this site normally gets hits from the United States. So, yes, we do have New Years Day over you. ![]()
Middle East - Yes this has to come up! July 24, 2006
Posted by Jonathan in : Other , 1 comment so farIt’s America supplying the Israelis giving them the means to do such action as this. For example giving 8 Billion dollars a year…
In reality what Israel are doing is totally wrong, you don’t go into a Country and attack every position you ‘think’ there is Terrorist. Really the Lebanese government haven’t the means to fight Hezbollah and his group of people. Lebanon are not a war- like Country. What has been suggested is that an International Army be enforced into Lebanon, of course this is where they could search and look for Hezbollah groups, and drive them out back into Syria. If Israel want a Country to fight then it should be Syria, they’re the back-bone of Hezbollah as they’re supplying weapons such as Missiles. If they get rid of Syria, as they’re causing the problem then everything can be solved as the structure of Hezbollah would be ruined, and they’d eventually have to get weapons from another source. - Things would eventually calm down, as no one would supply them, nor would the Terrorists be able to get out. - Considering if an International Army moved in to protect the South and maybe the rest of the Country. The ways the Israelis are handling things are totally wrong, it’s like there tanks are firing ‘blindly’ into the South of Lebanon. Forcing a Country and ruining it, isn’t the way to go, diplomatic action should have taken place ‘first‘ as they could have resolved issues such as this in a much better way. Okay, Hezbollah is firing rockets into Israel from behind the Lebanon border, NOT what Lebanon are doing (It’s a 3rd party doing all this, yet Israel in their own ignorance destroy buildings and roads; which value to no importance in cracking down the Terrorists); Israel have no right to fire into a Country in this Situation. They say this was the only legit way of doing things, that is a load of Bull, there are plenty of options, Israel could have called to the U.N and so could have that of the Lebanese Government; as that would of course maybe brought in an International Army.
Lebanon, are a prosperous country. - Israel is destroying what Lebanon has eventually built itself up to. The only thing that I think could solve things is an International Army moving into Lebanon, of course with the Lebanese Governments permission.
To be honest, the Lebanese Government are not doing anything. They’re just sitting their and watching there Country being Bombed; they need to speak to a Country like England; so we can send troops and an Army over…and trust me England will not fire directly into the line of fire where innocent people are based.
And let me say, the only thing that sparked this so called “war” or attack so it were was that Hezbollah triggered this by capturing 2 Israeli Soldiers, more Israeli soldiers have been killed because of this; which makes this attack or war pointless. And as well as killing other innocent life, Hezbollah will most probably fight twice as hard.
The thing is America should start supplying other Countries which need the money for aid and other stuff. Instead they’re supplying money and aid to Israel which of course balances the power towards the side of the Israelis. I don’t believe the Israelis should be where they are, as technically they are on illegal grounds which were given away forcibly due to the United States enforcing the ruling of a Jewish state in main land and near the ports of Palestine. Initially the IDF, were a terrorist group which would go around terrorizing arabs on their own lands trying to push them out, years later in the late 21st century, we still see this act of warfare in action, however both sides are fighting each other. - Though looking into this further, you will see that the Israelis have been funded billions by the US Government, where the Palestinians are left in disarray to the whole plains and land which they used to own.
