Uploader design I found on my Hard disk drive September 2, 2008
Posted by Jonathan in : Internet, Me and my life, My Sites , 2 commentsBack in January 2007, I remembered I wanted to start an upload media hosting site, which included the likes of uploading images, videos and music. It didn’t go to plan and I scrapped the idea however I paid good money on a design which I had designed for me. However I’ve recently come across this design and you’ll be able to see it in the image in this blog post. I haven’t got it on me as of yet as my laptop has face-palmed, however once I do get it, I’m thinking of releasing such design (Which is coded in valid xhtml+css) to the public for free on Vlexo.com, making a design directory as I do have a few designs which I could put on offer on my laptop… as in 2007 I was design crazy and got lots of designs to websites which weren’t made, such as hosting designs which I purchased unique for cheap prices which were ALL coded and an image hosting template which was going to be for FlickCabin.com which is only in .psd format.
So what do you guys think of the design? Any feedback regarding the release of the design (Which I incidentally paid $200 for would be very nice) and to which end I’m giving away for free. If anyone is interested in purchasing exclusive rights to the design, please contact me and I’ll consider any offer above $150 however I’m just thinking of giving it away as a gift to people on Vlexo as it seems more suitable there.
The design was in fact coded into CeleronDudes script, however it was badly coded into the design and looks terrible, so it’s worth developing something on with this design for those who want to start up an image/video multiple upload website.

The design will be released on the 11th of January 2009, to which people will be able to download on the main Vlexo website under the ‘tab’ designs. There are also going to be other designs on the website so every can get nice designs for whatever they want e.g. so it fits the genre of whatever website you want to open, not just an upload service kind of website.
Thanks.

Quitting Bidvertiser August 24, 2008

I’ve been paid by Bidvertiser once which in total was around $12, however I don’t feel they are counting all the clicks which are happening on my website. Now I don’t know if people are clicking on the ads however since I switched over one of my sites over to Chitika from Bidvertiser, a lot more clicks and revenue is coming through. At current I have exactly $9.99 in my Bidvertiser account, to which end I need another cent in order to get paid by Bidvertiser, so I’m leaving the ads on my site and hopefully in a couple weeks time I’ll earn this amount ($0.1) as I don’t believe they are counting all my clicks! Which is somewhat annoying, however I seem to be earning some good revenue with Chitika and they are to become my new revenue stream as the niche I’m in seems to be perfect for Chitika!
Once I earn that good ol’ cent I’m out of publishing for Bidvertiser as I don’t seem to be making good conversion with it, it’s either the ads they show or they simply aren’t counting clicks which come from my site; thus lower revenue is being earned. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve used them for quite sometime however they don’t seem to be the correct revenue earning stream for me. I’ve earned more with Chitika in a single month when compared to Bidvertiser. It is seriously as if they are not counting certain clicks, which is annoying and wrong. I’m not accusing anyone of anything however this is just the way it feels to me.
Inactivity on the web April 26, 2008

So I’ve been quite inactive on the Internet, and I’ve made a come back however due to some personal reasons, I won’t mention why I’ve been inactive on the Internet. I’m adding some stuff to Vlexo.com and getting rid of a lot of stuff, however I’m also updating vBulletin… (Hopefully the update will go well) - The vBulletin update, looks pretty interesting and I haven’t done one in quite a while. There are a heck of a load of files in vBulletin, and it’s taking quite sometime uploading them.
Since, I’ve come back to the Internet, I’ve found out that Logan has come back, he has got to be the smartest kid ever when it comes to computers. He must be like 14-15 or something however it’s just amazing what he knows about linux and computers in general. - I remember when he was staff at Vlexo in 2007, he could install anything and would know how to fix anything wrong with the server that we had. You don’t get many people at that age online, who could know how to do all that.
That’s my blogging for today!

Vlexo.com March 4, 2007
Posted by Jonathan in : Chitika, Hosting, Internet, Me and my life, My Sites, Other, Webmaster, free hosting, opensource , 3 commentsVlexo.com is a service which started in February 02-07, since then the service has grown in a ’seen to be’ state which is reliable and which is fighting to make it through the hosting market with the tight niche and actively competing market. However plans to grow and add additional services such as emailing, blogging and even forum making only services are in the making along with a lot of other additional services. At current Vlexo Services provide free web hosting, with cPanel with an ample amount of features to which end is a service which has since proven itself from when back in Feb 07; that one, it would be reliable, two, it would last and third… support would be there when needed.
I started this free service ‘venture’ as I was co-owner or a helper of many free and big hosts and even a small-time paid host; I had the experience and the cash to throw in so I said why not? There needs to be a change in the free hosting market that proves free hosting can be just as reliable and feature rich compared to paid hosting and that support answers could be dealt with faster via our support compared to other paid hosts out there, which ‘try’ to provide some sort of premium service. At current we lease dedicated servers from a provider named WiredTree which we have found to be the most reliable dedicated/vps service to-date. There is a major difference between us and other providers out there, which is that we provide daily, weekly and monthly backups. However this is soon to change as we are taking in a high-volume of users thus why we maybe charging or be doing something in order to have the privilege of having free backups for your website and everything else you host with Vlexo!
Staff acceptance
We accept everyone from anywhere as long as your English is good and that you have some field of experience in the free/paid hosting side of things and as long as you are able to use Web Hosting Manager and cPanel (WHM/cP) to which is a requirement.
Staff payback
With the staff working for a free service such as ours, you’ll get ad-free hosting on any premium servers we open up and of course we will make free online backups for you on the 250GB HDD we utilize. We will also work better with staff members if requests are made where normal members wouldn’t get such request accepted.
Support
Support is something which most reputable hosts provide however a select few or big minority of hosts do not as they simply only have time to support the server running the websites which are hosted. However we are dedicated to the free hosting provided, thus why we provide fast & quick resolution support to which we pride ourselves in and to-date we have answered thousands of help threads/tickets/emails in a timely manner. Support is something which new people as well as old need in case something sticky happens and we provide this and the server is always monitored in case things go haywire on the back-end. We also post regular Announcements on our forums and on our news blog; just to keep the end-user informed of things.
Support site that is not likely to fail
The thing we provide is a support website which is not likely to fail, as our main website and everything else is hosted on totally different and redundant service. So if the server ‘you’re’ hosted on takes some hits (DDoS) or generally problems then most likely our website will be available and readily available for updates that will be made on our news blog and forums. - Thus far making any support requests which need to be indited won’t be to serious if our support sites goes down or if your need help in getting things setup!
Flexibility
With Vlexo comes to the awesome amount of flexibility we have to offer, if you run out of bandwidth or space or simply anything, you’ll be able to work with us to get something sorted to enable you to have more resources in return for something small.
Kindness
As a free host we don’t employ ‘you ain’t paying, so you are a lesser being’ feeling, as it’s just not right, however we like to be treated with the same respect and we’ll do so if you are nice to us. We will help anyone from anywhere and we won’t go to harsh on you if you are wanting to ask simple questions or need help to solve simple problems. This is the kind of flexibility we have on offer and help is always around the corner when you need it.
Design
In February 2007, Vlexo started with a horribly designed template, to which it was a template and looked real old however it was one of those things I thought looked stylish then after a while it got boring and just ‘old’, you can see the design we used to have. (I will post an image later today)
Here is the current design we have as of mid-2007-2008:
As you can see the design above isn’t to bad and it is a custom one that I bought for $250 if I can remember correctly and it was worth every cent/penny as the design works. However as of 2008, a new design is in order to keep in touch with the growth and the user base that we currently have and a new design will be done before 2009, with this new design will come more functionality and integration of the design into our forums.
Try us out! (VLEXO.COM)
Happy New Year 2007 January 1, 2007
Posted by Jonathan in : Internet, Me and my life, Other , 3 commentsGlad to see a beginning of a NEW YEAR!
I hope everyone has a great time! I myself, I haven’t done actually anything that is eventful, to be honest I don’t really care much for New Years; it’s just an event that is quite big. I do care some what that a new year has been sustained, but I just don’t go out crazy saying happy new year, or going to special parties. I’ve been playing BF2142 for the New Year! But I guess it’s sad to see myself like this, when my freinds are out there partying. Oh well, I hope everyone had a good Nice New Year. And hopefully 2007 will be a year of luck and fun!
I live in the United Kingdom, but this site normally gets hits from the United States. So, yes, we do have New Years Day over you. ![]()

Bad day, very stressing. June 9, 2006
Posted by Jonathan in : Me and my life , 2 commentsToday, I had a fight with my friends. What could make it any worse? my pet died, we called him “little Canary” he was a nice bird, I wish we let him out more just like my Budgie…wow I never new I’d be in such a state in which I could go in this remorsefulness for myself. The one problem I face is over coming tweet (the little birdies) remorse as little Canary was as if they were best friends and now and then they’d have there share of cuddles…that is the dilemma which is created. We either buy a new bird to make friends with tweets or we just leave it the way it is now. I really do feel sorry for tweets as he has probably had a ruff time over this. I can only hope he over comes of what has just been taken away from him of course he cannot but I only hope that he doesn’t give up. (and yeah, we berried him in the Garden I made sure it was a good berrying also. As this bird does have my emotion for him)
Bless this bird which has died, wherever it has gone make it a place of happiness.
Finished my 1.500 word essay! June 5, 2006
Posted by Jonathan in : Me and my life , 68 commentsJust finished my 1,500 word essay, to which I’m pretty proud of at the moment, it is more of an article and it pertains to religion and how it works and how it sometimes doesn’t; vice versa. The assignment was through a small course I’m doing in College to which end I’m enjoying as it’s better than doing nothing, however the essay is finally finished and I’m glad to say that the results were better than I thought.
Also may I mention I am an atheist, so I am nor bias nor skeptical about the article.
