I’m the current owner of Vlexo.com, and I can say, sometimes it’s a pain to run businesses such as these one’s; the web hosting business or trade. However it’s just the ‘free’ side of things, which is initially what the pain is about. The premium side of things is going quite smoothly, with no complaints so far; except for one emailing problem. Though the free side of things is amazingly painful. I’m still keeping this service up, as the people I host; I like. And I still want to remain and have a presence in this business; whether that be the free or premium side of things.

I’m also thinking of moving over to another host, another host, meaning a new dedicated server provider. (”A new upstream provider”) Why? I guess I’ve had enough of the level of support, that my current ‘upstream provider’ is giving me. I don’t want to give any bad press to the current upstream provider, but in this web hosting business you need to have reliability and fast support. I was dependent on my hosts’ support, however I was let down, when ‘that host’ couldn’t fix my issue. I had to outsource and this server managing company managed to fix my issue on the same day I bought their services. It took my host 4 days to ponder and waste from which my situation of my free users was only getting worse.

At the moment I don’t know whether to stay with them or not. I will stay with them for one more month and see how things turn out. If there support turns out to be “Wait 2 days or a day for a reply to a question”, then I’m out, if things turn out to be good, then I’m not sure what to do. It’s a dilemma, but I have to think what’s the best thing I can do for my business. What should I model myself on? I need to take point as I need to treat my customers without benefit of the doubt.
I haven’t been very active, however I’m back, and hopefully I’ll be able to update this blog much more! I’m even going to upgrade the blog to the latest wordpress
